Sam Cardona
Triathlon Coach
Sam is a certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor and has worked at top fitness clubs such as Equinox, Crunch Fitness and NY Health & Racquet Club. He has a lifetime of exercise and fitness experience and has excelled in sports since early childhood. He was a 2x State Wrestling Finalist and an All American Wrestler. He was a member of the elite US Army Light Infantry and trained with the 10th Mountain Division. Over the last several years he has competed in every triathlon distance from Sprint to Full Distance Ironman. He specializes in racing and training athletes for Half Ironman and Ironman distances. He is a USAT All American and member of Team USA AG Long Course Team. He has raced at the highest level of the sport including, Ironman World Championships in Kona, Ironman European Championships, Ironman African Championships, Ironman 70.3 World Championships, Challenge Roth Full Distance and ITU Long Course World Championships.
He enjoys working with and developing athletes of all levels and introducing them to the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle. He currently develops personalized swimming, biking and running programs for Triathletes, Runners and those who are looking to increase their overall wellness.
Currently residing in Moldova he will be aiming to grow KIS Coaching in Europe.
He received his Associates in Liberal Arts & Sciences form Farmingdale State University and a Bachelor Degree in Philosophy/Psychology from Stony Brook University. In addition to his passion for endurance sports, Sam has a passion for Academics and is planning on enrolling in a Doctoral Program in Philosophy within the next year.
